News Central 34 is working hard to bring the most current local news to the Mt. Pleasant community. News Central kicked off in October, 1978 as a half hour newscast. Twenty years later, in 1998, the show evolved into an hour-long broadcast. As a part of Central Michigan University's Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Department, News Central 34 is one of the only student run news shows in the nation providing viewers with an hour-long newscast, four days a week. And with the addition of the Accuweather forecast system just last year, our Weather Central team is prepared to bring you the latest information concerning local weather conditions.
